Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette, has passed his Arsenal medical and is set to be announced as the club’s record signing.
The 26-year-old underwent a medical at London Colney training ground on Tuesday ahead of his £46 million transfer to the Emirates.
The fee eclipses the £42.5m manager Arsene Wenger paid to Real Madrid to sign Mesut Ozil in 2013.
Lyon president, Jean-Michel Aulas, sanctioned the transfer on Sunday, having insisted that Arsenal part with €65m to prise Lacazette away from Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
Lacazette is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Gunners.
